STELLENBOSCH, FRANSCHHOEK AND PAARL VALLEY WINE DAY TRIP

stellenbosch franschhoek 1stellenbosch franschhoek 2stellenbosch franschhoek 3

Spend a day in the gorgeous wine country of Stellenbosch and Paarl Valley, enjoying some of the Cape Winelands’ famous wines along with historic towns and scenic drives. It’s an ideal day trip for wine lovers as well as anyone who can appreciate the area’s history and dramatic beauty.

Get picked up at your central Cape Town hotel and begin your day trip into Western Cape wine country.
The first stop is a visit to the town of Paarl in the Paarl Valley, where you’ll visit a wine estate for a cellar tour and wine tasting session. Next, stop in pretty Franschhoek before heading to Stellenbosch. It’s second only to Cape Town as the oldest European settlement in the province, and where the region’s winemaking got its start. The last wine tasting of the tour will be at one of the prominent wine estates in Stellenbosch. The Pinotage grape is unique to South Africa, having been hybridized in the country, but it’s not the only wine you’ll taste. Other varietals are grown in South Africa, too, including Shiraz, Semillon, and Chardonnay.

During your stops in Paarl and Stellenbosch, enjoy some free time to explore the towns on foot at your leisure. After the last tasting of this relaxing day, head back to Cape Town aboard the vehicle. Please note that the order of stops may differ depending on the day.

Minimum of 5 delegates to book tour

Price includes:
Pick up and drop off from The Westin Hotel Cape Town.
Minimum of 3 wine tastings (with opportunity to purchase wine).

CAPE PENINSULA TOUR FROM CAPE TOWN

No trip to Cape Town would be complete without a visit to The Cape of Good Hope. The southern tip of the Cape Peninsula is where we find The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, a windswept park of beautiful beaches, dramatic cliffs and the commanding Cape Point. Your trip with Go Cape Tours will take you by Clifton, Camps Bay, The 12 Apostles, and Llandudno. Chapman’s Peak Drive with its tight turns and steep cliffs is breathtaking in any weather and offers many photo opportunities. Boulders Beach Penguin Colony on the shores of False Bay allows guests to get close to some of the best loved inhabitants of the Cape Peninsula before we start our journey back to Cape Town over the Steenberg on Ou Kaapseweg.
